"Reason for the future sucking: Biker gangs have taken to stealing gas, people are reduced to living in small communities, and left to fend for themselves. Year it takes place: 2003, although another site suggests it's 2001."
" Known also, as Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, after eradicating Night Rider's followers in Mad Max, former patrolman Max Rockatansky now scavenges for food and precious petrol on the deserted highways of an energy-starved Australia. Then, Max stumbles upon a small oil refinery in the scorched wilderness; however, there's a catch: the community of survivors is under siege by brutal biker warlord Lord Humungus and his barbarian marauders. Now, to get his hands on as much gas as he can carry,"

" Director: George Miller His 2nd movie My 6th movie watched from the director I finally get to see this gem of a movie, it's kind of ridiculous it took me this long! The action, direction, and set pieces were all great. I thought it flowed much better than the first and Gibson was more interesting in this, still surrounded by crazy characters that were amped up. Yet, having seen "Fury Road" back at its release, it's still not as amped up, crazy, and brilliant as that. Added to Lists: T"
"FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★½ NOTES: This print could only have been a re-release shortly after its original theatrical run, as the film was rated X in release yet this print opens with an 18 certificate. So scratchy you can hear it, though despite some frames looking like they were bitten into, there is not a single noticeable cut between the (severely worn) changeovers. The print has seen better days - just what this film deserves. DATE: July 11th 2022 CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOC"

"Post Apocalyptic Australia Somewhere in Australia in the far distant future. Why you wouldn’t want to visit: Petro crazed psychos, lead by Lord Humungus, Warrior of the Wasteland! The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla, rampage out here! "
