"First viewing - Mar. 14th After The Searchers I wanted to watch something completely different, so a film centered on a Latinx protagonist who is also transgender felt like a good fit. It's a meditative look at the struggles between what's expected of us and our reality and how to reconcile the two. The acting is excellent all around, it has a fair bit to say, and I especially appreciated the friendships explored along the way. It never fully crosses over into greatness, but I don't think it's "
