I remember very well the first time I was told about this movie. Indeed, one of my colleagues at the time asked me if I had seen this amazing martial-arts movie and I just told him I actually never heard of the damned thing. "There's really something to watching these preachy Chinese films about the evils of Japanese imperialists (which, don't get me wrong, were real fucking evil) when they're currently perpetrating open genocide on their lands. Anyhow, Ip Man, it's a movie. It has a lot of great moments and I wish it built several of them up a bit better. The humor is better than I would've expected."
