Think there is more to the story but gotta see.

A very good movie

To be honest, I have never really paid attention to the current worldwide crisis (thankfully, I always managed to keep on my jobs) so I never really dug into it but since this movie had some pretty good ratings, I was definitely eager to see what was actually going on. And boy, that was such a depressing movie... I mean, they threw in from time to time an upbeat tune but there was no way they coul... read more

Description: From Academy Award® nominated filmmaker, Charles Ferguson (“No End In Sight”), comes INSIDE JOB, the first film to expose the shocking truth behind the economic crisis of 2008. The global financial meltdown, at a cost of over $20 trillion, resulted in millions of people losing their homes and jobs. Through extensive research and interviews with major financial insiders, politicians and journalists, INSIDE JOB traces the rise of a rogue industry and unveils the corrosive relationships which have corrupted politics, regulation and academia. Narrated by Academy Award® winner Matt Damon, INSIDE JOB was made on location in the ... (more)

"6.1.18 An interesting look at the 2008 financial crisis without being completely compelling or totally honest. More of a call to action without saying what that action should necessarily be. In my cynical eyes it's a crusade outing authority figures (politicians/economics) just for the sake of it, shaking fists and everyone yells "You must pay for your sins." Editing plays a huge role in carrying out attacks that make the whole documentary seem doctored and flawed. Still you can't help but say "

"Inside Job is a 2010 documentary film, directed by Charles H. Ferguson, about the late-2000s financial crisis. Ferguson says the film is about "the systemic corruption of the United States by the financial services industry and the consequences of that systemic corruption". In five parts, the film explores how changes in the policy environment and banking practices helped create the financial crisis. "

"March 30, 2016 Watched on DVD First Time Viewing I've watched this documentary for an Political Economy class and this is the type of film that requires an understanding of economics to truly understand. Besides that, the film goes in-depth on the '08 economic crisis that started in the United States before inflecting the international climate as a whole. The crew managed to interview some strong economic figures whom relate to or were directly responsible for what happened in the '08 crisis. S"
