“Of course, like many other movie buffs, I had been anxiously waiting for this movie. Indeed, after almost 25 years, Martin Scorsese was working again with Robert De Niro on a massive gangster epic involving an impressive cast including the likes of Al Pacino. I mean, this combo Scorsese-De Niro-Pacino sounded already like movie heaven and when the critics turned out to be wild enthusiast, my expectations went sky high. Well, eventually, I find it rather difficult to judge this movie after all and, to be honest, I wasn’t really blown like I was expecting to be. "Scorsese is back. My two favourite actors of all-time, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, deliver brilliant performances. Pacino is very 'Pacino' but it's great to see him work with Scorsese. Joe Pesci delivers an understated performance and it is all the more impressive for it. He is perhaps the stand-out performance."

"Tomatometer Guess: 94%. Martin Scorsese's long-awaited biopic drama about Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran reunites Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino. Actual Score: 96%%. Meticulously directed, perfectly paced, and brilliantly acted, "The Irishman" sees Martin Scorsese at the peak of his power as he de-glamorizes the gangster genre. Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino all deliver spectacular performances. Though some of the de-aging is a bit off."
