“Neutral Notes:
*I have been wanting to see this since I saw the trailer.
*I even managed to check it out opening weekend.
*The cast here is a pretty interesting selection.
*Director Ben Wheatley has done a few other movies like High-RIse and Sightseers.
*Writer Amy Jump has been involved with all his other movies too.
*So let's hope this as exciting as I expected.
Positive Notes:
*When the action starts it gets quite fun.
*It's also pretty damn amusing.
*The characters are unique and interesting.
*I was never sure what was going to happen and to who.
*There were some good twists.
*The ending was excellent and not as I expected.

"It may not be the most original film in the world (the film is clearly inspired by "Reservoir Dogs"), and it may have a few nitpicks, but this minimalistic, and well directed, contained action film, is extremely entertaining, slick, and successfully stretches its seemingly paper-thin plot, to feature length, with relative ease. 9.4/10"
"6/4/17 Ben Wheatley proves once again that he can direct any genre. An action movie consisting of an hour-long shoot-out that is inventive and funny, with a cracking cast that keeps the film moving at a terrific pace. Not Wheatley's best film to date but even so, this is far more entertaining than most other action movies and boy, guns are noisy!"
"Tomatometer Guess: 65%. Actual Score: 67%. Free Fire is a well shot and hilarious (if a bit outlandish) film with extremely competent action."
