From The Superb To The Crap - Movies Seen In 2016 (284 movies items)"Marvel seems to have another winner on their hands with Doctor Strange though I've never read any of the comics featuring him. First off, I was blown away by the visuals, and the way cross dimensional scenarios were portrayed as if a comic book page came to life. It's your typical Marvel character introduction movie. Pretty much explained in the trailers, after surviving a near fatal car accident, he eventually goes to Kamar Taj for healing, thus begins his journey as the Sorcerer Supreme. Bened"
“I already saw this movie but since I bought a brand new TV, I thought I might as well check it out again. I remember the first time around I saw the damned thing though. Indeed, back then, Marvel did impress me again. I always thought that there would be an overdose of super-hero features and, yet, each time, they come back with some rather obscure character and deliver something really entertaining. And that's exactly what they did with this movie. First of all, visually speaking, it was by far their best movie (and, after rewatching the damned thing years later, it still is their most impressive movie in this area). Marvel Studios already had one huge hit earlier this year with Captain America: Civil War, and judging by the early reviews, Doctor Strange looks to be another home run for the studio. Actual Score: 91%. What a shock, Marvel released yet another solid entertaining blockbuster. In all seriousness, though, this movie has top notch acting from Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous hero (and every other cast member as well) amazing special effects, and great action balanced"
Seen in 2016 (310 movies items)"Well, this one is now my favorite MCU-movie. The visuals are really great and this was ever where the 3D added to it and worked perfectly with the acid trip- visuals. Cast was great, and this set ups the future for Doctor Strange-movies well. * The humor didn't work all the time but that was just a minor problem for me. Also I wasn't the biggest fan of Dormammu's design in this."
