Description:
Cantinflas, a humble newspaper vendor, is confused with the soldier defector Juan Perez and is drafted into the Army against his will and under a false name, precisely at a time when Mexico is at war. The poor man tries to prove by all means that he is not who they say he is. Unfortunately, "John Smith" fails in this endeavor, is promoted to officer, and is sent to the Pacific islands, where he dies fighting the Japanese.
