BAMF

This is another of those films I really wanted to see, but never got around to checking out. Gael Garcia Bernal and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are some truly excellent actors. Plus we all know Jeffrey Dean Morgan can play villains quite well. This was directed by Alfonso Cuaron's son Jonas Cuaron who also wrote Gravity. The writer here though is a first timer by the name of Mateo Garcia.

"First viewing - Aug. 11th After the kiddo went to bed I noticed Desierto was on Netflix and dove right into it. For those not aware of it, it's the directorial debut of Jonás Cuarón, son of Alfonso, which is why it stayed on my radar. And overall I thought it was a solid debut. There's not much to the story, but I felt like it kept things tense enough that I was anxious for the next moment to arrive which is a good thing.
