Welcome to the NHK (2006)
24 Episodes, Finished May 24th, 2013
I don't really know what to say about this. A lot of the actions of the characters were entirely unrelatable, so they maybe didn't have as much as an impact on me. Not to say it was a bad show, it was actually the opposite of bad.

Simply the greatest thing to ever happen and that ever will happen to television. I don't know what to do with myself anymore.

Wolf's Rain (2003)
30 Episodes, Finished December 29th, 2013
Similar deal as with Cowboy Bebop except this show was way more interesting at the beginning and way more boring in the middle. Finished off with a really great last few episodes, kind of hard to judge Wolf's Rain as a whole but I guess I came away from it satisfied.

26 Episodes, Finished January 4th, 2014
Absolutely everything about this show was boring to me. A couple of the early episodes had my attention but I don't know what went wrong. Insanely overhyped, I guess I was just expecting too much. Lame show.

Gurren Lagann (2007)
27 Episodes, Finished January 18th, 2014
More animes need to be like this. I've never seen one with as much character development, as much story development; most animes just stay in the exact same setting doing generally the same thing until the ending. Which, speaking of endings, the ending of Gurren Lagann was definitely it's weakest part, but obviously the rest was super duper and this was really great.

Psycho-Pass (2012)
22 Episodes, Finished April 26th, 2014
I think there was definitely a lot of great ideas here, the story was undoubtedly very good, the thing I think this show was lacking was some sort of aesthetic or atmosphere to really feel unique. Visually, this show looks like every modern anime I've ever seen. But, Psycho-Pass is incredibly watchable, I've never completed an anime this fast before, and it's honestly making me want to watch more.

Nichijou (2011)
26 Episodes, Finished April 29th, 2014
I had nothing but good things to say for the first 18 episodes or so, but now I just have so many detracting factors to talk about. I think it's just too much. I can't imagine marathoning this show, the "over-reaction" comedy gets pretty damn old by the end. It pretty much has to be watched in rotation with other stuff. That said, I do think it was really funny (moreso the first half than the second), the music was iconic and the animation was spectacular. I can see myself watching the odd episode again in the future.

28 Episodes, 2 Seasons, Finished May 1st, 2014
Unbelievable. I don't even know where to start so I'll just start spouting off thoughts.
This might be a little bit of a spoiler. I thought it was really weird that after The Endless Eight, which really felt like the climax of the show, and was the highlight for me (I actually thought it could have gone on longer) they went right back to being ordinary, essentially. It was like it was right back to season 1 stuff, which I didn't expect, but I probably should have.
I should mention the whole chronological vs broadcast thing, I honestly can't imagine watching this show in chronological order. As weird as this sounds I don't even think it would make sense that way. But I will say knowing the two different orders made a lot of episodes a lot more interesting than they normally might have been (and I will admit the wacky order was a lot of fun and might be part of why I enjoyed this so much). An example of this is episode 28, which is last chronologically, but only 9th in broadcast order; the ending is actually chilling when you think that it's technically the end of the show, and the same goes for episode 24 which is chronologically last, to someone watching chronologically it might just seem like any other episode but it has so much more meaning when it's the last thing you see. This show kind of has more than one ending and I think that's incredible.
Besides that, the characters in this show... Exemplary. Outstanding. First fucking rate. Haruhi Suzumiya is extraordinarily compelling and undeniably entertaining. And this goes for all of the characters including Haruhi, they're all comprehensible; things you've seen before on the outside, but cryptic and intriguing at the same time, AND YET STILL every single thing they do makes absolute sense when you get to know them better.
I feel like I have more stuff to say, maybe I'll add to this later, but right now all I know is I'm really, really excited for the movie.

Baccano! (2007)
13 Episodes, Finished July 3rd, 2014
There's three "bonus" episodes apparently, but I'm not so sure I want to watch them. I did not find this show even slightly entertaining for the first 9 episodes. To only be interested in a quarter of a show isn't good, but the last four episodes were pretty dang solid. I guess I liked the idea and most of the characters, (there were two in particular I couldn't stand) so despite being what I consider boring 75% of the time, I guess it was aite.
