The brain-damaged character played by Aidan Gillen, Aidan Murphy, is a Christian. He introduces his new 'friend' Tom that he has forcibly befriended as "A vegetarian who doesn't believe in heaven,' and admits in one scene that he was sexually molested as a child at the Christian Brotherhood. Despite his religious beliefs, Aidan is nevertheless opeen-minded and goes to fortune teller once in the film.
