Andrei Rublev (1966)
Andreiv Rublev charts the life of the great icon painter through a turbulent period of 15th Century Russian history, a period marked by endless fighting between rival Princes and by Tatar invasions. Thanks to noctem for the suggestion.
I am seeking movies for a curriculum on Film Studies & Philosophy I'm writing for my homeschooled teen-ager and me. Comments and suggestions are enthusiastically welcomed. :-) I need recommendations of movies that convey either positive or negative views on theism or religion, so we can compare and contrast these attitudes. I also want to find some great films on various religions, especially Buddhism and Hinduism.
