This list started out as the "25 Best Movies of 2012" before two things happened.

1. Realising that "Films" were a more sensible choice over "Movies", as the former denotes something made with a vision and as an art, it includes art, commercial, animation, and documentary films, whereas the latter denotes a movie made just for entertainment, and might not be the best form of art.
2. Coming to the horrible conclusion, that while it would seem to be easy to remove two movies off the list and bring it to 25, I just couldn't remove any of them from the list.

Hence, here we have the first of the "NerdyGeek's 27 Best Films of 2012".

The films have been selected from Bollywood (Hindi), Hollywood (USA), Hollywood North (Canada), Kollywood (Tamil), Mollywood (Malayalam), Sandalwood (Kannada), Tollywood (Telugu), UK Film, and one film from French Cinema.
