Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer - PC Games
A lot of people don't like this one, but having followed the series from its inception, I have to say that this is my all-time favorite. I liked that 3 gave you a chance add on hirelings, and always wanted it back. This gave that option, and so much more. I liked the storyline, and the magic. And the simpleness. I've only managed to finish 2, 6, and 8 of the series. But this one was my favorite of those three.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Xbox 360
I've only played three of the Elder Scrolls games, but Oblivion is my favorite so far. The series has a rather dark slant to it, so starting up the game with what looks like an impossible quest actually helped me get over that. I haven't finished it. But I do look forward to getting in deeper.

Betrayal At Krondor - PC Games
Based on one of my all-time favorite book series, and following my favorite character in that series...how can I not love this game? Not to mention the fact that it had some incredible leaps in gameplay that I'd never seen anywhere else. I loved that you could improve your armor or weapons, and had to keep them up or they'd disintigrate on you.

Anvil of Dawn - PC Games
Anvil of Dawn was different from most games I'd played before in the fact that you actually had to slash with the mouse to use your weapon. It was a distinctly unique fighting system.

Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven - PC Games
I remember being so thrilled when this game came out, because it had been quite some time since World of Xeen, and the graphics were so much more intense than the previous games. The new fighting system and the rich world made it a very worthy continuation of the series.

The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall - PC Games
I never got very far in Daggerfall, but it was so much more rich even than Might and Magic, that it drew me right in. Though it also made me hyper-aware of that dungeon-door-opening sound that I recognize it even in movies and tv shows that use it to this day.
Elfflame's rating:

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - PC Games
Morrowind was a nice follow-up to Daggerfall, if very long-awaited. Mostly, it made me wish that I could play Daggerfall again.
Still, a good game, and one that has some interesting quirks all its own.

Diablo II - PC Games
I never actually finished the first Diablo, but I quite enjoyed it, so I figured I might as well try the second. It is far and away better than the first. The start is fairly simple, and I think it has a better build than the first did.

Return To Krondor - PC Games
I waited for this one for too long, and while it was flawed, I'm glad they managed to bring it out. I do wish they'd retained more of the style of the original, though I do understand why they did not. The biggest flaw in this game is that some of the scenes leave your characters in spots where you can't get them out. Extremely frustrating, causing you to cancel out of the game just so that you can try again. Invisible walls are the devil.

The Bard's Tale - PlayStation 2
I only ever played one of the original Bard's Tale series, but I couldn't resist when I heard about this one. It's very much a Role-player's RPG. The in jokes in certain spots are fast and furious. A fun game.
Elfflame's rating:

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - PlayStation 2
Though it takes a few steps backwards, game-wise, for me, that means it's right up my alley. I've never been the swiftest of game players, and I really like that you can control how fast you go through the game. I don't like random things coming at me all of a sudden.
