TEARJERKER MOMENT: Once Forrest meets his son, it's all constant tears for me for the remainder of the film. I cry often throughout this entire movie, but it is when he asks Jenny "Is he[his som] smart?.....Or..is he dumb?" when he finds out that her child is his son aswell. That's when there is no way for me to hold back a single tear, it is virtually impossible.

It's a Wonderful Life (1947) (1946)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: I think this one is obvious: at the very end when everyone who has been helped by George Bailey in Bedford Falls repays him by donating a few dollars to make up for the lost payment from the bank. I also cry a little bit more just because I relate to Uncle Bailey since I myself am very absent minded sometimes so it kills me when he misplaces the money from the bank UGH I CAN'T. I've said it before and I'll say it again, It's a Wonderful Life is at the top of my favorite Holiday movies that will (and better be) watched from generation to generation.

TEARJERKER MOMENT: I knew the spoilers before I watched this movie and still cried like a little baby. The picture above might spoil it for moderately observant people so I am sorry but yes, Thomas J's funeral and death in general is the obvious tearjerker moment in this film I believe Anna Chlumsky's performance in this scene (at just ten years old!!!) completely makes the scene and mood. It is just too good.

Up (2009)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: Another obvious scene, the opening scene of Carl and Ellie's life together. Damn it, just typing this up is making my eyes water. The fact that Pixar was able to create a five minute scene of absolutely no dialogue--just music and imagery--and create one of the most tragic and touching scenes in animation, EVER, that people of all ages get teary eyed: just, wow. If you have not seen this movie, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING, and if you did not at least get that lump in your throat during this scene then I question your existence as a human being with empathetic feelings. I'm serious.
Also, PS: shout out to Michael Giacchino. Without his geniusness my tears to this scene would not be as heavy.

Toy Story 3 (2010)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: SO MANY SCENES. I saw this movie with two of my good friends--one of whom is obsessed with Toy Story--at the midnight premiere so let's just say we were already emotional. THIS FUCKING SCENE when the toys all look at each other with a look of acceptance that this is the end of them as there is no escaping their fiery death and hold hands. THIS IS A CHILDREN'S MOVIE DAMN YOU PIXAR AGAIN. I was just in hysterics, it was too much. You best believe I was crying and cheering and laughing so hard when I heard "THE CLAAAWWW!". Kudos to your cleverness, Pixar.
And that's not all, the very end scene with Andy, Bonnie, and the toys. DO I REALLY NEED TO SAY ANYMORE THAN THAT?

The Help (2011)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: The final scene when Aibileen says her goodbyes to little Mae Mobley. While she's reminding her of the famous quote "You is kind, you is smart, you is important" and how it kills Aibileen to leave her while the little girl is just banging on the window crying out her name to come back. #THEFEEEELLSSSS

Radio (2003)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: To be honest, I barely remember since the last time I saw this was in 2003 lol. All I remember was the scene when Radio was being manipulated by some of the students because of his mental disability and trust in others. I was eight or nine when I saw this and haven't seen it since just because of how hard I cried in this freaking movie.

Marley & Me (2008)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: If you are a dog person, animal person, or a person with real feelings, you cried in this movie don't even lie about it. Just like Radio, I have not seen this movie since the first time I watched it, but I remember it a lot more. The part when they have to put Marley down and Owen Wilson's character's goodbye to Marley GOD I'M CRYING AGAIN NOW. I still remember what he said and it kills me. This movie and book accurately show the pros and cons (WAY MORE PROS) of having a dog and how easily people forget that their pets don't last forever. So thanks for that, John Grogan.

Changeling (2008)
TEARJERKER MOMENT: This whole movie. Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, the grief stricken mother on a mission to find her missing son after the LAPD gives her no help whatsoever. Her performance in this film is so powerful and the fact that this was based on a true event makes me sick. I cried because it was so tragic and sick. I recommend seeing it, but don't expect this to have the typical happy ending.
Also, if you're sensitive about child abductions, this would probably not suit you at all lol.
