We have waited since December 2003 of whether we'll be seeing Hobbits, Wizards, Dwarfs etc again and we are finally going to see it. It is a prequel to The Lord Of The Rings trilogy and we see how Bilbo first had the Ring and how it was originally to him and to everyone else just a magic ring. I think that the first film is on The Hobbit novel itself all together and the second film is like the gap in between The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings (so possibly end about where Fellowship Of The Ring) began.

I am going to be constantly obsessed with both of these films until released. Lord Of The Rings trilogy are my number 1 favourite film (including all three) and because it stars two of the actors who delivered the best performances in the trilogy: Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis and I am intrigued at the rest of the cast especially Martin Freeman as Bilbo.
Peter Jackson directed, co-produced and co-wrote my favourites ever and with this prequel, I could see him making both Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit my number 1 and 2 favourites. We'll have to see.

Most anticipating film of 2012 and maybe even most anticipating film of the decade!

Quentin Tarantino directing a spaghetti western? Wow! Now, this will be something worthwhile.
A spaghetti western + Quentin Tarantino = "cool".
After directing his previous film Inglourious Basterds and showing that he is capable of almost making almost any kind of film. However, I think Django Unchained could be something that is a typically unique Tarantino style, but with a very emotional story alongside.
Of what we know the cast is going to be thus far, it is probably the most impressive cast that has ever been in a Quentin Tarantino film.
First, seeing Jamie Foxx as the protagonist. Awesome! Christoph Waltz returning in a Tarantino film after his mind-blowing Oscar-winning performance in Inglourious Basterds!
Leonardo DiCaprio in a Tarantino film? Awesome. Better yet, he is playing the villain! Now, that'll be REALLY interesting to see.
Samuel L. Jackson who has worked alongside Tarantino a few times in the past has a role in the film too. No Tarantino works well with actors without Jackson, especially after Pulp Fiction!
Kevin Costner, an actor who people have mixed feelings for, but I find a very good actor and definitely a great director, so should be great to see him in the film too!

I know for a fact that this will be a badass film that will rival with 'The Hobbit' in Christmas 2012. I know already that they will be my favourite films of 2012.

We all knew that there is going to be a sequel to The Dark Knight but obviously seeing as Heath Ledger died and the Joker was scheduled to return, there were some rumours about the next villain and what happens to Batman now.
Nolan has confirmed that the script has been written but the villain isn't the Joker or the Riddler but we now have Bane as the primary villain with Tom Hardy in the role. Bane who previously appeared in the disaster that was Batman & Robin really needs his time to shine and this is what we could have in summer 2012.
I must say that "The Dark Knight Rises" isn't a very good title but Nolan hasn't disappointed me once yet so pretty sure that the film will be awesome. Can't wait!

Skyfall (2012)
The project was abandoned indefinitely just after Quantum Of Solace was released but now they're getting back to it. Despite the fact that Quantum Of Solace was an absolute piece of shit, expectations aren't that high for this one, quite frankly.
I do like Daniel Craig as James Bond but I am worried about this one because Casino Royale was one of the best Bond films but the 'sequel' Quantum Of Solace was the worst. So glad to find out that Sam Mendes (great Oscar winning director!) will direct this one and bring life into the series again. They need an actress who can ACT not just have a hot body like Gemma Arterton did. I won't rush to see this at the cinema but I'll still see it.

Another Tim Burton stop-motion film? BRILLIANT! Tim is doing with Frankenweenie what Cecil DeMille did with The Ten Commandments, Alfred Hitchcock did with The Man Who Knew Too Much and Michael Mann did with Heat and L.A. Takedown: remade something that he himself created.
What I would like to see is something that James And The Giant Peach had: a mixture of live-action and stop-motion together (or maybe that could be the case with The Addams Family film that is being planned). I always look forward to any film from Tim Burton but I am especially curious about this one. Can't see it being as good as The Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride but still be a load of fun, I'm sure. Count me in.

Dark Shadows (2012)
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp making a vampire film together is quite literally a dream come true! And with more honorable mentions within the cast in supporting roles, expectations were rather high. It just depends on whether Tim can renovate after his disappointment of Alice In Wonderland and go back to what he does best. Fingers crossed that he does.

Brave (2012)
I am actually really curious about this one because it seems like a Robin Hood-like film so we could be seeing another The Incredibles with action and heroes.
Reese Witherspoon, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson and Julie Walters star in it so that makes the voice cast is solid so that's another reason why I think it'll be awesome.

The Avengers (2012)
This should be absolutely brilliant and perhaps will be the most explosive action film that I think we could ever see. It will feature Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America (group known as the Avengers) and will fight against evil villains. Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson are scheduled to return but they're casting another different actor for Bruce Banner/Hulk again (yes, AGAIN!). Mark Ruffalo is due to play him but I think Edward Norton did a great job so I guess Ruffalo as Bruce Banner is another reboot to the character (the third character reboot in less than a decade).
To be honest, I could see The Avengers being either really epic or an absolute mess with about 5 stories going on at the same time. I guess we'll have to see what happens.

To be perfect honest, I am not sure what to make of this fourth Bourne film upcoming. Yeah there are four books but The Bourne Ultimatum was a big success and it ended so brilliantly! However, it didn't end like it was finished and we were going to see Jason Bourne/David Webb once again.
Other things I have heard about a fourth Bourne film is that there could be a prequel to the original three with a different actor and NOT Matt Damon. I'd rather see Greengrass as director and Damon returning in leading role just to save the franchise. I'm up for it!

A fourth Ice Age film?! Are you kidding me?! The third film ended very well and I would've thought that'd be it but no, just have to make another one just for the money. I guess the fourth Ice Age and the rest of the Shrek films after the second one just show how desperate some people are for the money they earn from making the films.
The plot of the fourth Ice Age sounds like a Madagascar-like story to me so not sure what to except. Be seeing that idiot Sid and hopeless Scrat still after his nut so should be hilarious.

Another American Pie film? Didn't think it was a great idea to start off with but finding out that the majority of the original cast are returning, my enthusiasm of the film expanded a lot more and excitement arose.
This is a very risky project that I'm sure a lot of people will either love or hate. However, this will end up either a very flat reunion film (such as Little Fockers) or a breakthrough in the series that truly lives up to the original theatrical trilogy especially the first two films. Good, hilarious fun is heading our way and can't wait for Jim to mess something up and Stifler to just laugh at him. Looking forward to it.

Another bit with the lion, zebra, hippo, giraffe and the hilarious penguins? I want to see this! I watched the sequel and I wasn't that fond of it despite it was still decent but I really like the first one.
Madagascar 1 and 2 have proved that the animation effects are perhaps one of the most stunning animated effects that have ever been put to screen that isn't from Pixar (might buy the boxset of the trilogy on blu-ray if I like this one). If they're planning it in 3D, that will hopefully make it even better.

What in the FUCK?! For starters, there doesn't need to be a reboot of the Spider-Man series because the original Raimi-Maguire trilogy was so successful! I mean, if they wanted to do another Spider-Man film, at least make it a sequel to the trilogy and at least make Maguire return but no, Hollywood are money-grubbers and have to reboot the series for an unknown reason! Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man! Ohh my actual God! There doesn't even need to be another Peter/Spider-Man because Tobey Maguire played him literally perfectly and the fact Raimi isn't returning as director either is beyond me. I can't understand how they can just stand there and let this happen. I did want Jake Gyllenhaal to be the new Peter if not Maguire but no, has to be some unknown and much younger dude (he was good in The Social Network though).
Sally Field and Martin Sheen are reportly supposed to be playing Aunt May and Uncle Ben so that makes it slightly interesting. Expectations are quite low, to be honest, but I MIGHT just MIGHT check this out at the cinema for the experience of the effects.

I don't really know that much about this but it's a space opera film like the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises. Plus, it's going to be directed by Pixar director Andrew Stanton. He has had experience with space before after directing WALL-E and that became a huge success. He is doing with John Carter Of Mars like Brad Bird is with Mission: Impossible IV: first time starting on live-action after doing animated Pixar films.
Might seem like a bit of fun and worth my time for entertainment.

Battleship (2012)
Well, seriously what is the point in this exactly? The game Battleship is awesome but I can't see any purpose in making a feature film based on the board game without making it like a typical Hollywood film. I can almost guarantee that his will hardly be based on it at all and it'll just be an empty film with explosion after explosion.
I am curious with how this will turn out but there's no excitement to see this and don't think this will be worth seeing at the cinema so I might watch this when released on DVD.

PREDICTED RATING: 6/10
Well a sequel has been planned ever since Ghost Rider was released and at the time I was slightly looking forward to it seeing as I was fond of the first film but after rewatching it and found it crap, not completely excited about this.
Nicolas Cage was awful and was too old for such a young character like Johnny Blaze but I MIGHT feel a tad bit excited if there is a different actor playing Blaze who I'm satisfied with. Fingers crossed that Nicolas Cage doesn't return!
