Good Will Hunting (1997)
Poor Will. If I had been his foster mom he wouldn't be all messed up. Ok ok... maybe not AS messed up. He had a hard life.
Angels in the Outfield (1994)
That little boy who can't be in a car because he used to live in one... I'd adopt him in a second and love him forever. I always want to attack the abandoning Dad in this. Jerk.
Newsies (1992)
Poor little boys trying to hock newspapers to survive... come on over to my house. You can sing and dance all you want ;) Umm... and I had a HUGE crush on Christian Bale in this.
The Blind Side (2009)
Except I probably would have adopted his brother too so they could finally be together again.
Roald Dahl writes the best character names. You don't have to wonder if they're going to be a hero or villain... Aunts Spiker and Sponge are evil witches! James is such a sweet kid. He deserves some magic.
Meet the Robinsons (2007)
At the end when they show him to his new room, which is the top of an observatory I usually shed a tear. I have daydreams about adopting a genius kid, showing him love and support and nurturing him to greatness.
Oh I feel so awful for these kids. Any kid who's that smart and resourceful, that remains completely under appreciated and is constantly abused... sigh. I just want to save them.
Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
The reality of kids living on the streets, being abused... maybe I should just adopt an entire continent :/
I especially want to save her big sister, who was sold to a brothel and escaped alone to an unknown end, probably miserable.
Annie (1982)
Miss Hanningan sorta redeems herself, but she's not a very nice lady at ALL. I do love her "Little Girls" song :)
Despicable Me (2010)
Who wouldn't want to adopt 3 adorable little girls!!!!! Miss Hattie does have a face like a donkey and is a jackass to boot.
August Rush (2007)
Another hidden genius movie, but with amazing music. At least he finds them in the end.
The Cider House Rules (2000)
All those "Princes" deserve a home and a family. Yes, they sorta have one there, but it's just so sad!
Some people shouldn't have kids. No surprise the names Wormwood and Trunchbull are nothing but trouble. I'd love a sweet little girl with a huge brain and super powers.
Movies that make me want to adopt kids even more. Usually because they're secretly genius babies who get abused by everyone they come in contact with :(
