Best TV Comedies of 2011
This list was created by and in the opinion of Stephen H Koontz
This is truly a banner year for television. So many excellent debuts on the list with some of the older shows having their best seasons. Television has been increasing over the last few years and this year tells me it's only going to get better...
Shows that would have likely been on this list had there been a season:

Season 8
Ferguson has hit his stride and continues to be arguably the best interviewer in late night.
Season 3
The show hasn't necessarily gotten better still demands attention and intrigue.
Season 16
The show continues to be bold and witty and as important to watch as any 'real' news.
Season 2
Second HalfSeason 3
First HalfI'm starting lose interest in the show. Season 2 was fun and 3 is just getting a little too silly and going in a direction I'm less interested in.
Season 2
The sophomore season improves on its first and would be far more exciting if it weren't known of their cancellation for a Season 3.
Season 10
The show doesn't have the best gags and Kimmel isn't the best interviewer; but combined the show nails it nearly every night.
Season 7
The show has improved slightly but not enough for me to have great feelings about it. I'll watch it's final season because, well, I've come this far...
Season 3
The show continues to not evolve, much like its characters but I can't help enjoy nearly every antic and put-down.
Season 2
Second HalfSeason 3
Full Season, Final SeasonThe show continues to be surprisingly enjoyable. Season three starts to become a bit too much; and, as much as I like the show, I'm glad they ended it before it got too messy.
Season 3
The show has slowly developed and it remains apparent it won't lose its parody-driven, imrov slapstick with an endless list of well-known comedians.
Season 1
Lablanc is great at playing himself and his comedy plays great against the British comedy from the leads.
Season 6
Second HalfSeason 7
First HalfThe show is becoming the Roger Show, but it's still overwhelmingly irreverent and funny in its whole.
Season 7
The best writers on TV continue to prove the importance of late night news.
Season 8
Final SeasonYes, its final season that no one seemed to talk about, probably because Season 7 left most uninterested, even though it proved to be an important season and this season actually makes 7 better.
A fine ending to one of my favorite shows of the last decade.
Season 3
It's a sad day when you find out one of your favorite shows is getting cancelled, especially when its the strongest it's ever been. I can't believe how obvious it is that it would have only gotten better in Season 4, where I would have been fine with them ending it. I mean, they were in the middle of their biggest case yet, and Isla Fisher was in it the last few episodes, dammit!
Season 2
Conan and Andy are hilarious and even though a lot of his gags aren't innovative they still make me laugh and O'Brien continues to be my favorite late night host.
Season 1
I enjoyed the the first few seasons of the British version but I must I am surprised how much more I like this one. William H Macy leads a spot-on cast of characters who are, truly, shameless.
Season 1
First HalfAfter a rough start, and having to be convinced by a friend to continue watching, I am happy to say this show is a delight and full of potential.
Season 1
Although a short six episodes, this show is packed with clever, silly, spirited, and fresh comedy skits.
Season 7
Second HalfSeason 8
First HalfSeason 7 has some of the funniest moments on the show and it includes a few episodes with Will Ferrell; but the first half of Season 8 proves it can't survive without the brilliant Carell.
Season 1 &
Season 2
Much like 'Sunny' this show has few inhibitions - it's raunchy, irreverent, and hilarious.
Season 2
Second HalfSeason 3
First HalfI enjoyed the first season but wasn't ecstatic about; but Season 2 and 3 are showing so much promise. While Phil is still easily the best character the rest of the cast holds their own.
Season 15
Interest in the show seems to have leveled off but there is still no show more poignant and efficient with current-event comedy.
Season 1
A simple concept that sounds dumb on paper is actually quite hilarious, intelligent and fresh.
