Remember Verdell from this movie? First he lives with his homosexual owner, Simon Bishop, then, when Simon is attacked in his home and hospitalized Simon's homophobic, obsessive compulsive and generally nasty neighbor Melvin Udall takes over. The dog brings them together. Sort of.

A list of pet dogs in fictitious television and movie "families". Yeah. Because dogs rule. This list shows just how much (otherwise, why do you think they included the dog?) Note: I am more of a cat person but in general dogs seem to be the pet of choice for television and movie families. Not sure why, and I don't think it's fair. It just is.
