Benny & Joon (1993)

Is their anything so true as that first kiss? The purity of the love in this movie as portrayed by Johnny Depp and Mary Stuart Masterson gives this movie it's unique appeal. It's also an early showcase of the great talent that Depp is going to blossom into. The movie makes us fall in love with both Benny and Joon and displays wonderful character development.

When watching a movie that has a romantic relationship as part of the movie, we have an automatic anticipation to when the when the beloved couple will take their first kiss. If this is well done and is at the core of the movie as it is in "Serendipity" we will actually wait for the whole movie to see that first kiss.We just want to see the circumstances under which that the first kiss will happen.
Is there anything more powerful in love than that first kiss and the mystery, the wonder, the deliciousness , the heart skipping, the breathlessness, the joy, the happiness and the tremendous emotional sense of well being that happens.
