Bugs, especially cockroaches



The scene, in which roaches crawled out of Fritz Weaver's mouth scared the crap out of me.

And probably, introduced me to my fear of bugs. Oddly enough, it's now one of my favorite films, of all time.

He's a fricking talking skeleton. With horns!

I know that they don't really exist, but try telling that to me, as a kid.

It didn't help matters, that they come out of a fog, either.

Pinhead and friends.



He'll tear your soul apart.

Professor Screw Eyes



Seriously, where are his eyes?

Even small little spiders, scare the hell out of me.

It's like The Evil Dead, for kids!

Ursula, The Sea Witch



And her pet eels.

And the ghosts, in the film.

The under the bed world.



It's more terrifying, than fun.

He's literally, a walking talking corpse!

The Helping Hands

Being turned into mice.



You probably don't want to know, what they plan on doing with the mice.

The Flying Monkeys



They​ are creepy looking, and they can fly!

Piranhas

He's the man from the other place. And remember....Bob spelled backwards... is Bob!

They are like mini alien piranhas, from outer space!

This scene alone in the mini series, freaked the hell out of me.

I'm pretty sure, that in his wildest dreams, Hunter H. Thompson, couldn't come up with a more trippier scene then this.

The T Rex, and the Raptors



I had dreams of meeting up with a T Rex and being eaten by it, at one point when I was younger.

The Troll



Pretty much no need, to explain this one. He was the stuff of nightmares, when I was a kid as far as I was concerned.

The freaking talking book.



For a cute kids film, it sure has a scary bad villain.

And then there is.....

The Man



Thanks Disney, for reminding me that sometimes humans are the greatest jerks of all time.

Mustafa byes it.



Scar, might just be of the greatest Disney bad guys, ever.

Poor Mustafa, he never really stood a chance.

Doggy Hell



If you really think about it, the film is about the closest you'll get to seeing a animated version of Dante's Inferno in a kid's film.

Good luck, explaining that to your kids.

Sharks



This film, literally cured me of ever, wanting to swim in open water, to this very day.

And it's one of my favorite films, of all time too.

The Troll



I had nightmares, for days on end, after seeing this movie.

Especially, thanks to the troll in the film.

Madame Medusa and her pet alligators.



Thanks, Disney for not only introducing me, to my fear of alligators, but also to one of the most scariest villains of all time.

The Garbsge Pail Kids



What were they thinking, when they made this film?

Another favorite movie, of mine. After seeing the film, for the first time, I was briefly scared of dolls, coming to life, and trying to kill me.
