A solid dramedy. James L. Brooks last really good film works largely because of how damn good the cast is. The writing is quite good too, but it at times came off as too cloying.

A little better than The Lost World, but that's not really high praise. Neill is a fairly reliable lead, but I still don't think any of the characters from the original were good enough on their own. Leoni and Macy's characters are really annoying though. You get a feeling throughout the movie that everyone is going through the motions, with no real ambition.

Really dumb and really cynical and really bad. Fin.

An amazing movie. Few movies have ever conveyed a moment in history quite as well as Up in the Air. The writing (how the hell did Precious win adapted screenplay over this??) and directing are strong, as is the cast, with Anna Kendrick giving a breakout turn and Clooney giving the best performance of his career.

A hilarious and gripping satirical take on doctors in the Vietnam war. It's a classic for a reason.

The cast tries their best, but this is all really tired material that wasn't particularly funny twenty years ago.
