Dr. Julius No
Description: Dr. No is a brilliant scientist with an implied Napoleon complex (see mad scientist), a self-described "unwanted child of a German missionary and a Chinese girl of a good family". He later "became treasurer of the most powerful criminal society in China"; in this case, the Tongs. He then "escaped to America with $10,000,000" of Tong gold bullion. He specialized in radiation, which cost him both of his hands; his hands were replaced with crude bionic metal ones. No's hands have great strength (he can crush a metal figurine with them), but are seriously lacking in manual dexterity. This property contributes to his demise. He offered his skills and expertise to the Americans and Soviets, but was rejected. To get revenge, No joined the criminal organization SPECTRE and relocated to his island in Crab Key, Jamaica.
How He Dies: As he is fighting with Bond, an explosion happens sending them into boiling water, Bond manges to get out, but Dr.No cannot because of his metal hands, ultimately boiling him to death

Professor R.J. Dent
Description: Dent is a Geologist with a private practice in Kingston; he also secretly works for Doctor Julius No.
How He Dies: In Bond's room, he shoots a deco and empties his gun, no longer left with ammo. This leavs him defenseless when Bond, having quoted "That's a Smith and Wesson and you've had your six," executes him with a shot to the chest and a follow-up bullet from his .32 Walther PPK pistol in the back.

Miss Taro
Description: She is a Bond girl and a Henchwoman. She is a secretary in the Government House, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Colonial Secretary, Pleydell-Smith. She also is a henchwoman and spy to Doctor Julius No; only Bond discovers this.

Donald "Red" Grant
Description: Grant apparently was born and raised in Ireland. Grant escaped from Dartmoor prison in 1960 (where he was presumably incarcerated for life for a murder conviction) and was recruited by SPECTRE in Tangier two years later, while on the run from the law. He has been intensively trained by the organization and, when not on a mission, he is resident on SPECTRE Island. He is physically formidable, as Rosa Klebb learns when she unexpectedly punches him in the abdomen with brass knuckles and he barely reacts to the blow.
How He Dies: Grant attempts to strangle Bond with the garrote wire concealed inside his 'strangler's wristwatch'. Bond takes advantage of his Q-branch attachรฉ case again by producing a hidden, flat-bladed throwing knife and stabs Grant in his left arm, and then strangles Grant with his own garrote. 007 subsequently retrieves his wallet and money from Grant's coat saying, "You won't be needing this... 'old man.'"

Colonel Rosa Klebb
Description: Klebb is depicted as a former SMERSH agent who has defected to become a member of SPECTRE (Blofeld refers to her as "No. 3"). She uses Kronsteen's plans to obtain the Lektor, a decoding device, and kill Bond.
How She Dies: Posing as a maid, she attempts to take the Lektor; when she is caught, she points a gun at Bond. Tatiana then distracts her, causing her to drop the gun, and Bond and Klebb fight. As in the novel, Klebb attempts to kick Bond with the poison-tipped shoe, but Bond blocks the attack with a chair. Tatiana then picks up Bond's gun and kills her.
