Cairo Time (2009)
~ A quiet romance that is as much about Cairo as it as about Patricia Clarkson and Alexander Siddiq's characters.
Vix's rating:
Bowling for Columbine (2002)
~ A fascinating look at the American gun culture and role it plays in violence.

Wrong Page for This Movie (2005)
~ Hubris, wealth and arrogance are never a good combination as this documentary goes on to show. If this is capitalism then I don't want any part of it.
Vix's rating:
Deliver Us from Evil (2007)
~ Eye-opening look at the politics of the Catholic Church that allowed a child rapist to remain in a position of trust and power for 30 years. But it is the strength of the victims that triumph despite the horrors they faced with the indifference of the leaders of their faith.
Vix's rating:
The Town (2010)
~ Gone Baby Gone was not a fluke. Mr. Affleck is fantastic director. And this heist movie is surprising, action packed and bursting to the brim with emotion and a great cast of characters.
Vix's rating:
The Last Exorcism (2010)
~ If it hadn't been for the last 5 minutes of this movie, I would have rated it a 7/10.
Vix's rating:
~ A near perfect movie. Wonderful acting, fantastic story, a surprising amount of humor. LOVED IT!
Vix's rating:
~ No amount of great special effects can make up for the fact that this movie was all plot and zero character development.
Vix's rating:
It's Complicated (2009)
~ Middle of the road romantic comedy but Meryl Streep always lights up the room
Vix's rating:
The Orphanage (2007)
~ Scary yes but heart rendering? This was not an emotion I expected to feel.
Vix's rating:
~ Lots of scares but the fundamental question of why the haunting began in the first place is not answered.
Vix's rating:
Alone (2007)
~ As a psychological thriller this movie works. As a horror film, not so much.
Vix's rating:
A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) (2003)
~ Everybody raves about this movie but I found it incredibly confusing
Vix's rating:
Secret Sunday (2010)
~ The director performs a bait and switch. The beginning has you thinking you're getting a gory horror movie but it turns out to be a meditation on karma. Interesting, but completely different from the start.
Vix's rating:
The Faculty (1998)
~ It's weird seeing all this actors when they were younger. Except for Elijah Wood. He still looks the same.
Vix's rating:
~ It's pretty much a one-man show and Ryan Reynolds delivers. Now if I could my hands on that 911 operator...
Vix's rating:
X-Men: First Class (2011)
~ James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender make this movie for me. Plus it's the only movie I've watched twice at the cinema.
Vix's rating:
Priest (2011)
~ If you had told me last week that I would have hated a movie that had Paul Bettany, Maggie Q and Karl Urban in it I would have said you were pulling my leg. And then I watched Priest...
Vix's rating:
Killers (2010)
~ If the main characters had been played by different actors, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

~ Venice is beautiful, Angelina Jolie was mysterious but wow Johnny Depp was boring.
