The Hit (REGION 2) (PAL) [Dutch Import] - Region 2 DVD

Until the Criterion edition came out, this was about the only way to get a decent copy of this little gem of a film. It's marked as 4:3 on the case but is actually 16:9 letter box. The transfer is mediocre from a fairly dirty print, but is quite watchable. There are no extras.

Description: PLOT SUMMARY: Ex-gangster Willie Parker has betrayed his former "colleagues" and now lives in Spain where he thinks he can hide from their vengeance. But one day, ten years later, two hitmen (Braddock and Myron) show up and kidnap Willie. They are ordered to escort him back to Paris where he should stand trial. But it is a long way to Paris...
