As "USAF Brig. General Jack O'Neill" for the "Stargate: Atlantis" pilot episode called "Rising". He came onto it to help with the kick-off, along with Michael Shanks.
"Jack" was a regular character on "Stargate SG-1", for 8 seasons and a few episodes in seasons 9 & 10, from where "Stargate: Atlantis" sprang from. Michael Shanks was "Dr. Daniel Jackson" and he was on "Stargate SG-1" for about all 10 seasons.
