“We have spent nearly twenty years watching the time-traveling, claw-heavy exploits of the X-Men, and Logan proves a fitting conclusion to many of these characters. In a perfect world, this would be the last X-Men film for a while, allowing enough time to go by for the audience to warm-up to the eventual reawakening of the franchise with entirely new players. (Baring, of course, the fringe players like Deadpool or the in-the-works New Mutants and X-Force.) Â Logan plays out like a gritty Neo-Western, Shane but with claws and a dementia-addled telepathic genius. It is unquestionably the best of the three solo Wolverine outings and in the upper echelon of the X-Men franchise in general. Not only for its bloodstained hard truths and emotional complexities, but also for the ways in which is ” read more
"First viewing - March 4th Man it's a wonderful thing to find an X film that's grounded for a change. This is among the best films featuring these characters, a distinction it accomplishes by focusing on the characters first and giving them stakes that are actually relatable (or at least more so than all-powerful yet incompetent threats to the entire planet). The film has a lot on its mind, but stays focused throughout which is especially appreciated. Jackman & Stewart have both expressed that t"
"YrittÀÀ parhaansa ollakseen erilainen supersankarielokuva ja enimmÀkseen Logan onnistuu siinÀ erittÀin hyvin. Verilöyly on suht tylyllÀ tasolla tÀmÀn budjettiluokan leffaksi, mikÀ on hyvin virkistÀvÀÀ steriilien trikooleikkien keskellÀ. Genren puolesta tÀmÀ toimii erinomaisesti toimintaelokuvana, supersankarielokuvana ja ihan ok myös westerninÀ, vaikka pÀÀllimmÀisenÀ kuitenkin jÀÀ nimenomaan noista kaksi ensimmÀistÀ. Tarina on liian tyypillinen jÀlkimmÀisen genren puo"
“FIRST IMPRESSIONS
In 2029, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X somewhere on the Mexican border. But his attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant named Laura arrives, pursued by dark forces.Hugh Jackman has announced that this will be the last time he plays the character that helped shape his career, and man did he save the best for last! :)Everybody's talking about how bloody it is⊠and they're not kidding! This is the first Wolverine movie to not hold back at all on the violence and gore you'd expect Wolverine to partake in! But there's so much more to it than that. This is probably the most poignant story to ever involve Wolverine, showing him at the end of his rope and finding one last purpose in life, all building up to a wonde” read more
" They sure do love using this trope in the X-Men franchise! In this case, the villains are right about one thing. Professor Xavier is very dangerous and can kill simply by having a seizure."
