"Re-watch - April 17th This was a test to see if the kiddo can handle a horror movie, and it turns out she can. She called Vic Morrow's character "a Trump", loved the "Kick the Can" story despite it not being scary at all, deemed the creatures in the 3rd story to be more amusing than scary, and came up with her own name for the gremlin in the final tale. I doubt it's made her excited for more horror movies, but we'll see. I'm just glad I was able to enjoy this with her as my dad did when he firs"

“It is another movie I have been tracking down for many years mostly because it was one of the very few movies directed by Steven Spielberg that I hadn't watched so far. On top of that, I have always been a huge fan of 'The Twilight Zone' so this anthology involving 4 major directors sounded pretty amazing on paper. Unfortunately, it turned out to be only a decent watch at best. Indeed, out of the 5 parts (4 segments and a prologue), 4 were not bad but nothing really amazing and one was just seriously weak. The prologue directed by John Landis was indeed rather misguided as it was too humorous and random and only its conclusion had anything to do with the mythical TV show.
