"April 8th Directed by: Antonio Pietrangeli It's a very Italian thing it seems to have well written female characters, this film has them in abundance. Story goes, four prostitutes go into the restaurant business after their brothel is shut down by a very real law passed in 1958. I can't imagine the significance of making this film so soon after that. This is a nice, light film with some depth. Criterion Channel."
