" DVD- 1hr. 21min. First Viewing It's certainly more engaging than I had expected it to be, the scares are solid and the cast is strong, but Lights Out can't quite overcome an undercooked plot. It works in differing stretches, but can't stick the landing (the ending is just not very good). There's certainly enough here to mildly recommend, but a few too many issues to rectify in the presumed sequel. Monthly Wesley AwardBest Visual Effects"
"13.6, PC Elokuvan premissi antaa mainiot rahkeet käyttää hyväksi pimeitä nurkkauksia ja käytäviä. Valitettavasti vasta viimeisen puolen tunnin aikana Lights Out ymmärtää käyttää potentiaaliaan. Sitäkin harmittavan rajallisesti, mutta tusinakauhuksi ihan menettelevän lopputuloksen antaen. Aikaisempi siivu kestosta käsittää lähinnä tylsää pohjustusta ja puolivillaista näyttelyä."
"The amount of music stingers and sudden screams that were 1000 times louder than the rest of the sound levels got really annoying and fast. Also the movie set rules for the burned lady thing but then it kept breaking them all the time. All those things kept really bothering me and I really didn't like this film that much. The short film was good and it was nice to see the same swedish lady have a cameo in this."
"In Lights Out, the demonic entity, “Diana,” is actually the incarnation of Sophie’s depression, a force that came between her and her children. “Diana” destroys all Sophie’s relationships, making it clear how difficult those relationships were for her as she struggled with mental illness. "
