Movies the giraffe watched in 2020: June (28 movies items)"First viewing - June 17th I got a couple hours break from the kiddo on this day, so I wanted to watch something I couldn't watch with her and opted for I Lost My Body. I appreciated the ways it looks at ideas of fate versus the cause and effect relationship of our actions, and I thought the presentation of these ideas was fresh. “I Lost My Body is an animated European art film if I’ve ever seen one. Is it good or bad? I’m not entirely sure, but it is very French. Literalizing the main character’s emotional disconnection by crafting the story from his disembodied hand, I Lost My Body is all about its main character’s awakening to life. There’s something to sense and muscle memory, but this presents its biographical tidbits from the perspective of the (eventually) severed hand. It’s both a fascinating and a potentially unnecessarily fussy artistic choice. Same goes with a romantic subplot that eventually leads nowhere in particular. I lost my body es de hecho una película bastante simple, ninguno de los personajes tiene una gran caracterización o personalidad, lo que hace que la película acabe sintiéndose vacía, al explorar las sensaciones del protagonista pero no indagando en ellas y dejando a un personaje muy simplón para el tipo de película que es.
Puedo admitir que el como la película presenta sus elementos es bastante ingeniosa, las sensaciones de tristeza, soledad y pérdida que tiene el protagonista son representadas con el simbolismo de la pérdida de su mano, siendo así que su mano cobra vida y explora el mundo ” read more
