CONQUEST OF SPACE introduces an international crew who have been brought together to construct an innovative robot for exploring Mars. Located on a space station 500 miles above the Earth, commander Samuel Merritt (Walter Brooke) and his men (including Eric Fleming and Benson Fong) struggle to complete the mission. Aggression within the group begins to surface when the general suffers a religious breakdown and warns the others against trespassing on God's realm. The crew is forced to kill him before they can triumphantly stride upon the Martian planet.
