“I wish i could give this movie more than two thumbs down. Talk about being unimpressed. Just a complete letdown. All i can say is that Michael B. Jordan was great but didn't have enough screen time to really work the heft and importance of his character's plight. I do like how he and Panther kinda dwelt in a moral gray area because of what they chose to do or not do, but it didn't make for engaging enough exchanges. This should have focused more on Killmonger than Panther as it would have given more gravitas to the subject at hand...alas, what we got is a dull and uneven first act that dragged quite a bit until Killmonger became the central focus.
Even then the film's other flaws were far too present to let me enjoy it properly. Chief among these is it's inability to make me susp” read more
"Not enough praise can be heaped on this movie. It works perfectly as a standalone film without being stuck in origin mode, as well as delivers a rich story with deep characters that resonates. It's a film we all needed, whether we realized it or not, and I'm glad Coogler made it in his own style with such an outstanding cast. I'll be surprised if the Marvel franchise finds a way to surpass his achievement."

"+ Good action + Good acting + At last, not a MCU film with that stupid sarcastic humor that it's all over the place, ok, it suffers from this from time to time, but it's not as intrusive as the other ones. - Boring villain, but, yes, it's a better villain than the average MCU villains. - Plot armor. - Too many conviniences, like 'hey, I have this special plant that can heal your wounds' - Awful CGI and special effects in general."

"A vastly overrated and over hyped Marvel movie about an African superhero. Visually it looks great and the actors are decent in their roles but the storyline is dull and predictable. The pacing is all over the place. The movie starts off fast but comes to a halt halfway through. It goes on for far too long and outstays its welcome. There are a lot of cliches that ruin the movie as well. I couldn't connect with any of the characters and as such cared little for their success or failure. The actio"

"First viewing - Feb. 18th I don't normally buy my tickets in advance since I've moved here unless it's a special event, but in this case I made an exception so as not to risk having the film sell out from under me. And I'm glad I did, as the theatre had the longest lines I've ever seen for Black Panther, and the kiddo and I wound up pretty far back by the time we got there after eating lunch. Thankfully we still got decent seats. As for the film itself, it might be my favorite out of all the "
