A young woman Hye-young is a painter living in Amsterdam. She meets a handsome man Jeong--woo wanting a street sketch of himself. Jeong-woo is a policeman and their lives change when the woman is injured in a shoot-out. The cop and woman get close but the woman has feelings for a man she has never met that keeps leaving daisys on her doorstep...

I thought this was...okay. Once the criminal enters the scene you know its going to be a love triangle. The story seemed a little too forced. The lead actress Jun Ji Hyun though good looking didnt have to do much other than look pretty - she came across as a bit inspid imho. The shootouts were quite good though

A mentally retarded man is wrongly accused of raping and murdering a young girl. In prison awaiting a death sentence he is befriended by an assortment of criminals as his young daughter visits

This is surprisingly good somehow escaping its manipulative and utterly ridiculous setup. One film that will make you cry with laughter and with tragedy

A girl finds an egg and who the hell knows what happens next

This is nicely animated with a great choral soundtrack but the the film is incomprehensible BS

Some people may get enjoyment out of its mystery I didnt

Largely enjoyable film possibly too much SHIELD and too much back story to be truly great...the first 40 minutes could have easily been editted down to 15 minutes and some other parts trimmed too. And do we have to see more aliens which look exactly as you expect nowadays

The last 30 minutes are great and the Tony Stark/Iron Man character was the highlight saving the film from being a pompous thing

Worth watching but a little flawed

Interesting but long documentary discussing the current banking system used throughout most of the world, its history and its impact.

Basically the banks are able to lend more money than they actually own and have used the system to actually gain wealth and political control throughout the centuries. Its based on debt and the control of the money supply is in private hands rather than govt control. Private Banks now override democracy to the point of absurdity

Interesting stuff linking wars to the whims of central (private) banks to create eras of boom and bust/depression so they can literally buy up the world

Funnily any politician opposing the private banks found themselves likely to be assassinated

Other than it being a bit too long - I watched it in several shifts TBH - it does jump around a bit unnecessarily at times and being an American made film is a tad American-centric

I cannot seem to add this TV documentary I saw about Peanuts creator Charles M Schulz - heres the IMDB link www.imdb.com/title/tt1134097/

A good docu and we got to see that Schulz like a lot of good creators was a bit messed up. A non Peanuts fan may actually get something out of this as a man driven by obsession to just keep creating the Peanuts universe both idyllic and realistic. I liked out some strips were used in relation to Schulzs real life story and the ending is really quite touching

Available to watch on Youtube but who knows for how long

TV movie exploring the history of American superhero comic books from the 1930s up to 2003

Some interesting stuff even for a comic fan like myself - One LOL moment when artist Jim Steranko is talking about censorship from the comics code authority and an Agent From Shield comic he drew - bizarrely they replaced an innocent frame of Nick Fury kissing a female agent with a far more suggestive gun in a holster frame. I may even check out Sterankos work as he seems like a good guy and the art does look good

My biggest problem with this docu - would it appeal to a NON comic book fan? Not likely - Its tiring seeing these docus about the medium try to elevate it into art - YES some comics are great and rise above their origins but many are just the child-ish BS that many people accuse them of being - For every "classic" such as Watchmen, Dark Knight there were/are 100 cliched BS titles

Superhero flicks in my opinion are borderline scifi or fantasy...Anyways I saw this last night and I was pleasantly surprised as it kept me interested throughout...As a huge fan of the X Men comic back in the 1980s this film is a bit weird as it lifts characters from that era and transplants them into the 1960s BUT it works kind of well

Solid and entertaining

A teenage girl Eri has to battle a giant chainsaw weilding man each night. A schoolboy Yamamoto stumbles into the fight one night and ends up being drawn into her world

This was good fun and kind of cute. On the surface its like Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Scott Pilgrim Saves The World - a weird mix of horror action martial arts teen romance and comedy

Very watchable very entertaining - only Asians can pull off this sort of weird mix...and it has a bit more depth than first appears

A Japanese boy tries to look after his younger sister during the finsl throes of World War 2 as living cnditions go from bad to worse when their home is destroyed and their mother dies

This is meant to be a great tearjerker but I found it too manipulative to work that well - it was good but not that good. It kept my interest throughout but its missing something
