Jeff VanderMeer adds new flavors to many subjects told by previous authors. But, he does it in such a way that is just... Too hard to describe. When it comes to describing seemingly minor details, I sound a lot like him.

Susanna Clarke's brilliant take on English magic blew me away in the Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell trilogy. When describing nature and setting, I kind of adopt her style.

Garth Nix has such a distinctive and wonderful writing style, I could not help but to pick up a few flairs of fantasy from him.
