Hook (1991)
This movie was okay. When I was 9. But I still can't believe they made action figures for this, much less for some of the characters they did. (Where is Andy Barclay as an action figure, any of the Children of the Corn, Village of the damned kids or Claudia from Interview with the Vampire? Sheesh!)
So, we have, made into figurines...
...Rufio (played by Dante Basco)...

...Ace (played by Jasen Fisher)...

...and Thud Butt (played by Raushan Hammond)...

Jurassic Park (1993)

Tim Murphy (played by Joseph Mazello) was made into an action figure, while Lex (his fictitious sister) was not. Which is kind of weird, as what did Tim do in the movie? He got electrocuted by a fence, stuck in a tree, barfed and generally freaked out. Lex did a lot more. Oh well.

And yes, I know the action figure looks nothing like him. He had a bad haircut, but he didn't have emo-hair and it wasn't a bob.

Last Action Hero (1993)
I can't believe ANY toys were made of this movie, it sucked so bad. However, the kid, Danny Madigan (played by Austin O'Brien) was made into an action figure. I don't even think he did anything in this movie. Why don't they make Andy Barclay (from Child's Play) into a freaking action figure? At least Andy runs and stuff...

Lex's rating:

Wesley Crusher (played by Wil Wheaton) had a few of his own action figures. Which is amazing, because Wes Crusher was so, so annoying...

Lex's rating:

Of course young Anakin (played by Jake Lloyd) was made into an action figure. But the market was flooded with crap from Episode 1, so that's not really that big a surprise..

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
This is the only action figure that half-way makes sense in this list. Young John Connor (played by Edward Furlong) ran, stole money, hacked through alarmed doors, loaded guns with bullets and decided to break his mother out of a mental institution.

And now the figurine...

And the figure comes with the motorbike. Good.

Peter (William Moseley)...

...Edmund (Skandar Keynes)...

...Susan (Anna Popplewell)...

and Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley)...

were all made into multiple toys, including McDonalds happy meal toys (shown below) and action figures (too lazy to go dig them up right now).

Did find this one of Peter on a unicorn...

The Goonies (1985)
The kids from the Goonies; Mikey (Sean Astin), Data (Jonathan Ke Quan), Mouth (Corey Feldman) and Chunk (Jeff Cohen) were all made into action figures along with the deformed Sloth (played by John Matuszak).

Sean Astin as Mikey

Corey Feldman as Mouth

Johnathan Ke Quan as Data

Jeff Cohen as Chunk

The "Goonies" together...
and for the hell of it, Sloth...

and these are the figures...

The Karate Kid (1984)
While not as young as most of the "kids" on this list, Daniel-san (played by Ralph Macchio) had his own action figure.

Lex's rating:

The NeverEnding Story (1984)
Bastian (played by Barret Oliver)...

...Atreyu (played by Noah Hathaway)...

...and the Childlike Empress (played by Tami Stronach)

Were all made into figurines in a line that was released in Mexico in 1984/85 (yeah, the toys suck but at least they were MADE into toys). I am kind of surprised this movie didn't have a North American toy line considering what a huge hit it was.

Lex's rating:

While kids and teens are in a lot of movies (most, actually, to some degree) their characters are very, very rarely made into dolls or action figures. Which is a bit odd considering it's mostly kids that play with dolls and action figures anyway. These movies were considered popular enough in their time that some of the kid characters also got their own toys. I still think it's unfair that while Tim Murphy (played by Joseph Mazzello) was made into an action figure following the Jurassic Park craze, Lex (the little blonde girl hacker in the movie) was forgotten.
