What I've been watching Jan 22 and a bit before

fairly predictable by the numbers family oriented film about a group of bullied children who accept a bet to stay a night in ahaunted house to get their bullies off their backs - almost The Goonois in a haunted house. One for young kids only I guess

I rarely re- watch films but after seeing a fascinating documentary on youtube about this classic I thought Id see how this film stands the test of time, I had originlly watched this in the 70s or 80s

Still largely good. The soundtrack is suitably alien and the ape masks are still great. Possibly the weakest part is the ape buildings which almost look Flinstone-ish. Lost of snippets of humpur in there...and of course it has that iconic ending

One of my favourite moments is watching the apes in the jury at the trial scene and at one time they are actually doing the 3 wise monkeys thing of see no evil hear no evil talk no evil...kind of funny

wrong film - ignore

a below average predictable low budget horror - too many cliches used here but with no flair. Best to avoid this one

Nice different French language horror where a paraplegic woman is given an advent box which she quickly discovers requires her to kill to gain what she desires. If you take out the gory obvious horror parts this could be a Twilight Zone episode as it stands on a moral dilemma. Worthwhile

Low budget horror which tells the story of 2 women who rent an apartment that has apparently been used in Epsteins sex trafficing. Its attempts at shocks are strange and laughable and generally this film is quite bad. However I think it deserves credit for the subject matter and the balls to actually relate it to real life events. Anyone liking the British royal family might be offended by this when one of the women becomes possessed with having Prince Andrew - who is probably not Prince now

very obscure fake documentary about a film studio that throws loads of short film genre parodies into the mix. Its a bit of a hit and miss affair but quite funny most of its length

Cheesy horror anthology following a psychiatrist interviewing his patients as they recount their weird stories. Far too easy to guess the twist butan ok popcorn horror

I really wanted to like this horror which has shades of psychological horror Videodrome and Dario Argento Italian horror as a man investigates the connection between weird pirate tv broadcasts and missing preseumed dead women. I found none of it scary, a little unsettling at best. marred by a good soundtrack thats simply too loud in the mix and simply bizarre characteristaion change towards the end. Interesting as a film not that good as a horror

quite slow but mainly enjoyable scifi thriller which keeps you guessing for the most part

Enjoyable but predictible family oriented re-boot of Ghostbusters. Some neat special effects and some funny lines

Slow but strangely enjoyable dark conssciously arty movie following a serial killer played by Matt Dillon who is recounting various kills in his lifetime. Some moments of gotesueness which actually made me laugh. It has a Funny Games kind of vibe and a bit of Asian horror The Sinners Of Hell

not bad early 90s sci fi horror anthology where a psychologist uses a virtual reality device to help cure his patients. Typical of almost every anthology there is ALWAYS a weak segment...sadly its the last one about a man fearing dying. The first where a lone woman faces off wolves is quite tense and the second with a geeky man trying to deal with his domineering roommate played excellebtly by Bill Paxton is fun. an enjoyable but flawed Blade Runner-esque near future film whose elements dont quite seem to work together. Quite a strong mystery in my opinion

zero budget Romanian found footage film about a man obsessed with meeting Anne Hathaway. This is mainly tedious and overstays its welcome by about 1 hour but its one saving garace is that the lead actor is quite nutty and disturbed...no other redeeming features though

Excellent DVD cover for this film which is obviously meant to be Lovecraftian as its about an experiment in time performed by people at the infamous fictional Miskatonic University. The first half is ok but it seems to get much better in the second part. Could have been so much better though

Nicely done psychological horror I guess dealing with a man who takes his injured daughter to a hospital and she disappears with the staff claiming they have never seen her

largely enjoyable and interesting low budget sci fi film about a man who finds he can travel back in time by taking a designwer drug and uses that power to try and rescue his best friends daughter who has gone missing

Sums it up very well. Quite a tense film and for me this film handles the claustrophobic idea far better than the well-known horror Descent
