15.12.

Took me ages to beat this bad boy, but here it finally is. This one's basically a remake of one the best JRPG's ever, and for the most part the title "complete" is well deserved, since they added so much depth and detail to the overall game. The story and the characters are much more fleshed out here, the villains plot makes helluva lot more sense, the battle requires more strategic thought, etc.

My only minor complaints here are some of the parts where you're basically trapped between insanely difficult bosses and you can't go back to get items you need. Since you can still save wherever you want and have no clue what's coming, there should have been some alternate ways to go back or buy stuff like they had in Eternal Blue. These parts are just unfair.

Other than that, I love this thing. It's very satisfying feeling making it to the end. While they did tone down the violence, they also made the villain way more evil and dark than the original, like rather than just kill the dragons, why not enslave and mutilate them instead? That's just nasty.

Kei Shigema once claimed this was his favourite version of the story, and I agree. The ending is just beautiful, nearly on par with Eternal Blue.

Just an annual playthrough to ease some stress. This was always my favorite out of the three.

Good old Neverwinter Nights. Killer game with killer engine and one of the best fan communities.

The original story is kinda weak, but I had fun.

Jesus Christ, this is good. It's just like a real old school 32 bit Sonic game in 3D, but made with modified Doom engine. It's not exactly a perfect game, but for what it is these guys deserve a huge medal. It's still better than most official Sonic games since Sonic & Knuckles, minus Sonic Mania.

So, after Lunar fell through, Game Arts decided to start their own little franchise. What they did here, they took most of things that made Eternal Blue masterpiece to begin with and attempted to fix them even better. Some stuff worked, others didn't, like the plot, which isn't nearly as good as Lunar had. The overall game mechanics are some of the best ever.

BEST.GAME.EVER.

Playing this masterpiece through once again reminded me of the reason why I love this game so much. It's nearly flawless epic fairy tale with some of the best videogame characters ever created. The mechanics are flawless, the writing is a work of a genius and the translation is some of the best ever. There's nothing for me to complain here, Lunar: Eternal Blue is the best JRPG ever made, and one of the most polished games ever made.

One of my favourite JRPG's of all time. Some the later dungeons are tedious and it repeats itself quite a lot at times, but I love the personality and the humor of this fantasy world enough to pass some minor nitpicks like them.

One of my favorite games of all time. It's an action-RPG similar to Zelda, but with much more adult-oriented storyline and difficult puzzles. Some of the latter took me years to figure out when I was kid.

I remember really disliking this game as a kid, but couldn't put my finger on it, since it's pretty much the same as the two previous titles, which I loved to death. As soon as started playing again, I understood the problem was just that: it's just the same stuff recycled again, but much less fun to play and it goes on way too long. I don't even bother gathering everything, just finish this thing as soon as possible and forget it again.
