"Until the last time I played this one through Lunar 2 was my second favourite, but once I got more into the world and the story again, I immediately fell in love with it once more. If Laputa-era Hayao Miyazaki made a role playing game, this would pretty much be it. A masterpiece of storytelling, no other game even comes close in this regard."
"23.3. BEST.GAME.EVER. Playing this masterpiece through once again reminded me of the reason why I love this game so much. It's nearly flawless epic fairy tale with some of the best videogame characters ever created. The mechanics are flawless, the writing is a work of a genius and the translation is some of the best ever. There's nothing for me to complain here, Lunar: Eternal Blue is the best JRPG ever made, and one of the most polished games ever made."
" As the sequel to Lunar: The Silver Star, Lunar: Eternal Blue improved on its predecessor in almost every way, with better graphics and more of the seriesโ signature animated custscenes. In an era when many of the most popular games, including all the best Super Nintendo games, were still telling their entire stories through text boxes, Lunar: Eternal Blue was ahead of its time with not just all those cutscenes but over an hour of voiced dialogue, all thanks to the Sega CD format."
