Though technically inferior to it's Sega Saturn parent version, PlayStation's Grandia is one of the best JRPGs for this console.

"14.4. So, after Lunar fell through, Game Arts decided to start their own little franchise. What they did here, they took most of things that made Eternal Blue masterpiece to begin with and attempted to fix them even better. Some stuff worked, others didn't, like the plot, which isn't nearly as good as Lunar had. The overall game mechanics are some of the best ever."
