Firefly (2002)

So what if it has an oddball genre? I never would have thought that a space western could hold a lot of promise but it did. Shame on you Fox for not treating Firefly better.

Standoff (2006)

A pair of hostage negotiators deal with work and their budding romance. Okay so I only started watching this because of Ron Livingston. But the show really drew me in with the great mix of interesting characters and stories. So it was surprising to hear that Standoff had been cancelled.

Dollhouse

Interesting concept, great supporting cast but it never got good ratings. Actually this time I think the reason was because people didn't care about Echo (played by Eliza Dushku)

The Fox Network has a reputation for not giving shows a chance. I've noticed that a lot of Firefly cast members who appear on Fox shows tend to have short-lived series.

Some people have mentioned that the "curse" extends to other networks as well: Adam Baldwin in Daybreak (ABC), Jewel Staite in Stargate: Atlantis (NBC/SciFi), Morena Baccarin in V (ABC), Sean Maher in The Playboy Club (NBC), Summer Glau in The Cape (NBC)

Right now you can find Nathan Fillion on Castle (ABC), Gina Torres on Suits (USA), Adam Baldwin on The Last Ship (TNT)
