An average man becomes sheriff of a town filled with super geniuses. ((As I write this, I am playing the theme song in my head. I own all seasons on DVD, baby!))
This is a show that is super fun! It has some bad behavior, but nothing extreme. Teens and preteens would get a kick out of it if they were into science fiction.

True Blood (2008)
A telepathic waitress gets thrown into a world of supernatural creatures while vampires fight to gain equality.
I own only one season and let someone borrow it. I probably won't get it back, but I would actually purchase it again. Great show, but not one to watch with the little kiddies around.

The Tudors (2007)
This show plays out the drama in King Henry VIII's life.
My mom is actually getting my the whole series on DVD! Can't wait! While it isn't exactly historically accurate ((Sorry, Jonathan, but Henry was never as gorgeous as you are)), it is an interesting show. Yet again, it is not one to watch around little kids but it is addicting once you get a few episodes in.

Spartacus (2010)
The story of Spartacus.
First off: DO NOT WATCH WITH KIDS IN OR AROUND ROOM! This is INCREDIBLY graphic (almost bordering on an X-rating). There is male and female frontal nudity, intense sexual scenes, crude language, and heavy gore. If you push that aside, this is a great series that had me captivated within ten minutes, no joke. My little sister watched a mid-season episode and she cried! The characters and acting are that powerful! Andy Whitfield is great as Spartacus, and the second season will not be the same without him. God bless, Andy, and I am praying you have a full recovery.

Captain Malcom "Mal" Reynolds runs the ship 'Serenity' and picks up jobs from different worlds, even those that are against the law.
I once read a review that this show was "the shiniest show in the whole gorram 'verse" and I couldn't agree more! It is great fun, with hysterical quotes. All Sci-Fi fans should watch it.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011)
Set before "Blood and Sand", this show explains a little bit of what happened before Spartacus.
Again, this is the same rating as "Blood and Sand." Very graphic, on all levels. However, I actually really liked it. I didn't think I would be that good because Andy wasn't in it, but it was pretty good. I watched it all in one day!

A family of dinosaurs take on some controversial topics (such as environmentalism) in a family friendly tv show!
I grew up watching this! In fact, "I'm the Baby" was the song my parents would sing to me when I was little. Great show for everyone!

Shawn Spencer uses his "psychic powers" to help solve cases.
I cannot stand crime shows. I find them all irritatingly identical . . . except "Psych." It is so funny.

This show is VERY explicit! I love it, but it is filled with sexual content and nudity. Do not watch if you are offended by stuff like that.
