Peggle - PC Games
A novel twist on arcade action involving crazily bouncing balls. Your goal is to shoot ten metal balls at 25 orange pegs arrayed in different configurations โ a task which sounds a lot easier than it is. With your mouse, you control a launcher, and when you fire a ball, it bounces around the board lighting up each peg it hits until it falls off the bottom of the board.

Bejeweled Twist - PC Games
The gameplay gimmick that separates Bejeweled Twist from its precursors? Instead of swapping gems in a 2x1 space, you'll rotate them in a 2x2 square. Can you believe this was accomplished in just three years of development? Bejeweled Twist may not be as different as it was hyped up to be, but it delivers exactly what PopCap promised: a breath of fresh air to a stale genre.

Ricochet Infinity - PC Games
As with the other Ricochet games, Infinity is in every way the spiritual successor to the classic game Arkanoid. You use a paddle attached to a spaceship to bounce a ball into level after level of bricks with many different properties, all the while revealing power ups or other, less desirable things, such as bombs which will kill you.

Line Rider 2: Unbound - PC Games
The basic concept of Line Rider 2: Unbound is to draw one or more lines with the mouse on which a boy on a sled can ride after the player presses the "Play" button. The game includes simulated physics, which means the track must be sufficiently smooth to prevent the character from falling off the sled.

Most casual games have similar basic features:
* Extremely simple gameplay, like a puzzle game that can be played entirely using a one-button mouse
* Allowing gameplay in short bursts, i.e. during work breaks
* 2D, abstract graphics
* Some variant on a "try before you buy" business model or an advertising-based model
The word "casual" indicates that the games are produced for the casual consumer, who comes across the game and can get into gameplay almost immediately. Every month, an estimated 200 million consumers play casual games online, many of who do not normally regard themselves as gamers, or fans of video games.
The most popular casual genres for 2006 were: puzzle, word, action, card and board games.
