I always liked these credits, I liked the Marauder's Map motif and the fact that it opens with the Lumos spell and "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" and closes with "Mischief managed" and the Nox spell. However, many neat effects were pointed out to me that made me adore this sequence. Of note:
The credits prior to the rolling credits have footprints that are meant to match the person or character they played its for. Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) has larger footprints than anyone else. John Williams, who did the music, appears to be doing a little dance. Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawney, the near-sighted seer) walks into a wall. Stuff like that.
Little things happen around the rolling credits. Footprints almost run into the credits and backtrack to find a way around. A lone set of footprints (Filch's, maybe?) walk into the Stink Bomb Storeroom and three sets of footprints run away from it. The animals care and trainers section of the credits has cat pawprints chasing owl footprints. And around the "Visual Effects and & Animation" credit, we see barefoot-footprints turn into dog pawprints. Wonder who that could be... Towards the end you can see two sets of footprints in the corner in a position of two people making out (or similar...) and later still a set of footprints that hop over a series of credits.
I love this who sequence, there so many subtle little things and I've noticed more the more I watch it.

Silent Hill (2006)
Wow, I can't believe I forgot this when I originally put up this list, since its by far one of my favorites (although I'm quite an avid Silent Hill fan so, y'know, I may be bias). The animated credits set before the rolling credits is phenomenal and the use of the fantastic Silent Hill 3 theme "You're Not Here" just makes it all the better.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
Suggested by Frank White. Excellent opening credits, wonderfully animated.
Catch Me if You Can (2002)
Another wonderfully animated opening credit sequence.

Seven (1995)
While Se7en doesn't have radically different credits than you'd expect, it does what it does very well. In both its opening and closing credits!

Cats Don't Dance (1997)
I always liked the opening credits of Cats Don't Dance, the credits are integrated nicely into the opening. Also, I really like the opening song.

WALL·E (2008)
The end credits animation is gorgeous and fits so perfectly with the ending of the film. The animated journey through art styles and history is excellent. Follow that by adorable 8-bit versions of the characters over the rolling credits and top it all with a great song by Peter Gabriel, what's not to love?
Pixar, in general, is pretty good with interesting ending credits.

I love opening and closing credits. I'm one of those people who wait until the end of the credits to leave the theater or turn off the DVD. They're necessary to every film and there's so much potential to tweak them to fit with a movie's theme or personality, yet too few movies take this opportunity. I wanted to point out the ones that do, and do it well too!
Note: "Best" is only in my opinion, you will probably disagree :) I'll likely add more when I discover more. These are not in any strict order, but the best of the best will be near the top and the less-so will be toward the bottom. I'm considering both opening and closing credits for this list.
