Awesome Albums on Bandcamp

Bandcamp is an American online music company founded in 2008 that lets artists and labels upload their music and control how they sell it - to sett their own prices, to offer fans the option to pay more and to sell merchandise. When purchasing music on the site 82 % of the money goes directly to the artist / label.

In order to support artists during the COVID-19 pandemic bandcamp announced hat they would be waiving their share of revenue and donating all sales to artists for 24 hours on March 20, resulting in a 93 % share for the creators. They are repeating this initiative during the first Friday of each month during the whole of 2020 and will continue doing so in the first months of 2021.
