Missing in Action (1984)
COL. JAMES BRADDOCK - PLATOON LEADER
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Hey, who better to lead this team than me. I mean, I don't even need a helmet in fighting them little commies. Not only am I a black belt in Karate but I handle the gun like its the extension of my arm. Plus, do you know anyone who has a better, brown beard than me?"

SGT. JOHN RAMBO - SPECIAL FORCES/JUNGLE EXPERT
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "The guy's a one man army, though I'm the original. And he's great with the bow, though I can master that weapon in a day. There's no other soldier I would want on my side killing the enemy than John Rambo. "
SGT. ANIMAL MOTHER - HEAVY MACHINE GUNNER
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "I like this guy. He's big, he's tough and I depend on him for the expletives. And hey, I love the name."
Uncommon Valor (1983)
PVT. BLASTER - DEMOLITIONS EXPERT
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Every platoon needs one to handle the big explosions. Not just to provide cover or distraction but for the huge fireworks display in the background which makes me look good."
CPL. NICK CHEVOTAREVICH
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "You play the Russian Roulette on an ordinary soldier and the bastard would wet his pants. But not Nick. The guy could handle pressure and that's a big plus when captured by the enemy."
geojones100's rating:
Tigerland (2000) (2001)
PVT. ROLAND BOZZ - RIFLEMAN
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Yet untried in actual combat but I like what I saw during his boot camp. Bozz is the kind of man who would risk his life for that last second heroics. Hmm, come to think of it, shouldn't I be doing that?"
geojones100's rating:
PVT. FORREST GUMP - RIFLEMAN
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Private Gump is not much of a soldier but boy, could the retard run. I mean, really RUN. He'll be valuable in running errands, like picking up ammo and delivering my threads to the dry cleaners."
Platoon (1986)
PVT. CHRIS TAYLOR - RIFLEMAN
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Taylor could be the voice of conscience when all hell breaks loose, like when I lose it and starts beating the shit out of a captured VC."
Casualties of War (1989)
PVT. MAX ERICSSON - RIFLEMAN
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Like Taylor, Max would provide reason and sanity and some pep talk, not that we really need that since we're going back to Asia to wipe the Vietcong off the face of the planet. The kid's alright and he's nice to have around, though."
Apocalypse Now (1979)
GUNNER'S MATE 3RD CLASS TYRONE "MR. CLEAN" MILLER - TOKEN BRO
BRADDOCK'S ASSESSMENT: "Just wanted to make sure the Brothers are represented. Maybe, he'll bring his stash with him, that would make for a really wild victory celebration."
geojones100's rating:
Braddock leads a disparate group of war vets for another "one last mission" to 'Nam, probably rescue Richard Crenna again and kick VCs ass once and for all. With his triple or quadruple black belt in Karate, few questions his authority. But he's generally a nice guy and believes that no one must get left behind.
