San Francisco

Some people say that San Francisco is home to a little bit of everything and whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime local you will love being there. The city ranks near the top of the index in a number of categories such as median salary, public transportation availability, as well as density of takeout restaurants and entertainment options. Another plus is that it is one of the most open-minded cities in the world where people are not discriminated for their social status or sexual orientation.

Berlin

It’s not easy to describe Berlin and only by being there does one realize how amazing the energy and vibe of the city is. In Berlin you can literally go out at night till you drop since the nightspots have no official closing times, and it’s COMPLETELY up to you to decide what time you want to go home. With more than eight million visitors every year, mainly young peeps, Berlin is one of the most vivid and fun cities to live in.

Toronto is big and you are likely to find a bit of everything there especially if you’re a young fella full of energy. With a population of over five million, there are plenty of stores and institutions to cater to such a huge number of people but you have to keep in mind that during winter the temperature can drop extremely low so you better be prepared if you decide to move there.

It would be COMPLETELY unrealistic if we tried to explain within a few lines why New York is one of the best cities in the world for young people since we could literally make a whole list with twenty-five reasons why New York is THE best city in the world. To make a long story short, New York hasn’t earned the title of “capital of the world” for nothing and they don’t call it the city that never sleeps for nothing.

Athens

Greece has been on the brink of bankruptcy for the past five years but Athens remains one of the most beautiful historical cities in the world, with amazing monuments to admire on a daily basis, the longest coastline in Europe, and a fascinating downtown that never sleeps and is teeming with young people. Also, the weather is great 90 percent of the year.

Dallas

In Dallas you’ll find the cheapest gas in the country, with a trip to the pump only costing about $2.70 a gallon on average. It also has one of the country’s youngest populations, making for a diverse nightlife and plenty of dining options. Let’s go Cowboys!

Paris

Parisians are known for their awesome style and ego like few other cities in the world. They don’t apologize for enjoying life from a young age and it’s a safe bet that after a few days mixing with the beautifully dressed people browsing the pâtisseries of Montmartre, chatting with the locals at the markets in Le Marais, soaking up the sun by the Seine, or sitting at a café sipping café au lait, you won’t be able to imagine life any other way.

Prague is widely known for its amazing beauty and gorgeous buildings but the city also has a lively nightlife. After the beautiful shops and museums close, there are numerous clubs and pubs waiting to serve youngsters from around the world its famous, cheap Czech beer, which means that there’s plenty to do there even after dark.

Living in Los Angeles isn’t cheap, that’s for sure, and public transportation could definitely be better but still the “city of angels” has some of the best entertainment options in the United States, from Hollywood studios and live music venues to beautiful beaches and hiking trails. Not sure if it’s all the glory and glamour the city carries on its shoulders but there’s definitely something magical that attracts hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world to visit it and end up staying.

Seattle

Back in the early 1990s the rise of grunge, thanks to the incredibly talented Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), made Seattle one of the hottest destinations for young people and students who were fascinated with the whole grunge lifestyle. Twenty years later, and while most of these young men and women are now in their early to mid-forties, the Emerald City remains very popular with young people since it has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the US, and utilities are incredibly cheap.

London is probably the most diverse and multicultural city in Europe with some of the world’s most famous attractions and ACTIVITIES. With so much to do and all the artistic and musical history the city produced in the twentieth century, it’s hard to see or do everything there in one visit. You need to keep going back and if you’re courageous and optimistic enough to handle the horrible weather you might fall for it in the end and want to live there for the rest of your life.
