Eleven-year-old Al Izuruha finds himself caught up in the escalating power struggle between the Earth Federal Forces and the space-based Duchy of Zeon. Mecha pilot Bernie Wiseman involves him in a Zeon plot to capture or destroy an experimental Gundam suit stored in his home colony.
