I picked up this book because it was lying around the house. My brother was supposed to read it for school and never did. Also, I was ashamed to that I didn't really know a lot about Malcolm X.
At first I was torn. I wanted to root for this man, but he had a lot of hate in him and I had a hard time understanding that because I personally do not believe that hate will get you anywhere. As the story progressed I began to see that what I was witnessing was the evolution of a man. Eventually I was won over, because you have to root for anyone who trys to make themself better.
So I truly recommend this book to everybody out there. Whether you know a lot or a little about the man known as Malcolm X.
