Supernatural review

Long runer.

This is one of my all time favorite shows. It is chock-full of cool pop culture references, legendary folklore, and interesting new creatures specifically made for the show. My only problem with the show is Jared Padalecki. I really don't enjoy him as he seems a bit amateur to me. Jensen Ackles however is amazing and hilarious. He also shows a lot of emotions throughout the series while also trying to act like the tougher big brother. I sure wish Jeffrey Dean Morgan would return to the show. Misha Collins is amazing and gives a spark to Castiel that is just amazing. Long live Castiel and his awkward moments trying to learn how to do new things. Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer is also one of my favorites as he was a good character although he could've had more depth in my opinion. He was a much necessary father figure. Mark Sheppard as Crowley is badass. He is one of the shows longest running villains and he is pretty funny as well. I don't know why he won't do it. Is it because of an ego and that he is becoming bigger in Hollywood? I don't think he is so big he can't make a special guest appearance or a few. This show also has numerous badass guest appearances such as James Marsters (Buffy & Angel), Amanda Tapping (Stargate: Atlantis/SG-1), Lauren Cohan (who now has it easier fighting zombies rather than all the supernatural monsters in The Walking Dead), DJ Qualls, and Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica) just to name a few. The concepts of the show are amazing and some of the standalone episodes are pretty cool. Even folklore monsters made specifically for other films can make appearances. They even poke fun at celebrities. They have made fun of Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, and even Snooki is showing up in the next episode! Also when a show lasts 9 seasons, has an anime spin-off, a mini-series spin-off for supporting characters, is signed for a tenth season, and has a spin-off series that is also being signed up for with an ensemble cast you know you have to check it out. I highly recommend this show as in my opinion there is never really a dull moment.

Supernatural is without a doubt one of my 5 favorite tv shows. It did come a little crazy since season 5, but I don't know how, it didn't stop being good like most of tv shows over the seasons. It has 9 seasons now and it is still one of the best tv shows I watch. It as everything! And as difficult as it is to believe, it doesn't have a love triangle as the base of the show. It is still going for 9 years now because it is a good show with a good cast and plot.

One of my favorite series ever. The dynamic between the brothers as well as the regular supporting cast is great. Every episode is well written and acted. It's like a mini horror movie every Friday night, except probably done better than most that I've seen on the big screen.

Season One:

The Pilot was strong which encouraged me to continue .. Two brothers looking for their missing father, this season was focusing on the brothers, their father and their thirst of revenge from the Yellow Eyed Demon .. Dean was the protective old brother and Sam was the sweet little brother .. The Finale was amazing, though I was dying to see season two's premiere after the car crash ..
Favorite Episodes: Scarecrow and Hell House.

Season Two:

This season started with the 3 Winchesters at the hospital, Dean was a spirit and his father sold his soul for him but before that he told Dean that he have to save his brother and if he couldn't he might have to kill him which put Dean in fear. With the death of their father, the boys decided to pick up where he left off .. (Saving people, hunting things). In this season we found out Azazel's plan for Sam and other children like him, Sam dies at the end of the season but then Dean made a deal and saved him by selling his own soul .. he had one year.
Favorite Episodes: Croatoan and What Is and What Should Never Be.

Season Three:

This season was about Dean's deal and all the tryings to let him out of it. Sam was different which lead Dean to think if the Sam that came back from death wasn't all Sam. We saw Lisa and Ben, They also met Ruby in the first episode for the first time, she helped them in a lot of situations and was trying to convince Sam to start using his powers. We are also introduced to Lilith, the demon trying to kill Sam. At the end Dean was killed by the hell hounds and sent to hell. After telling Sam not to use his powers and continue hunting in the ways that their father taught them.
Favorite Episodes: Mystery Spot and Bad Day at Black Rock.

Season Four:

Dean is pulled out of hell by Castiel (the angel). It's revealed later that Sam has been working with Ruby and using his powers. In this season, we see Sam going to the dark side, We find out that dean broke the first seal of the Apocalypse when he was in hell by torturing souls, we meet Chuck (the prophet), we meet Adam who claims to be their brother, we find out Ruby's real intention (she was using Sam to set Lucifer free) and at the end Sam killed Lilith (which was the final seal), started the Apocalypse and set Lucifer free (in a good intention as he thought Lilith was the going to break the final seal).
Favorite Episode: After School Special and Lucifer Rising.

Season Five:

After Sam starting the Apocalypse, things got bad between the brothers and they broke apart but got together again. In this season, we find out that Sam is Lucifer's Vessel and Dean is Michael's Vessel, they were trying to stop the Apocalypse along the season with the help of Castiel, Sam said yes to Lucifer and let him in his body but he had a plan to take control over him and jump into the pit which he did, Dean quit hunting and went to Lisa and Ben to live with them.
Favorite Episode: Changing Channels and Swan Song.

Season Six:

One year later, it's revealed that Sam has been pulled out of hell.. but without his soul. Dean left Lisa and Ben and stayed with Sam and later brought his soul back with Death's help. Death built a wall in Sam's head in order not to remember what happened in hell. In this season, we met Crowley (the demon wanted to open the Purgatory), we found out that Castiel is working with Crowley and in the end he became the new God, The wall in Sam's head fell apart and all hell breaks loose but he survived that at the end Castiel tells the group to bow down and profess their love unto him their lord or he shall destroy them.
Favorite Episode: The French Mistake and Frontierland.

In general .. The Show is awesome .. I enjoyed every single episode .. and I can't wait for Season seven which will premiere on September 23, 2011.

«Scary Just Got Sexy»

My acquaintance with TV series Supernatural was not so long ago. When I started looking I thought - at one time. But after the first half of the first season, I saw this series for many centuries. The idea of someone may seem an old, well, mysticism, demons and all that. In fact, it is not. It's the story about the relationship of two brothers who try to get along with each other and of course family problems. On most series

The first season.

His younger brother, tired that it laid the work that repugnant to him. His elder brother, who loves to work. However, one way or another, they both have to implement it because their father disappeared. That's the idea of the first season. Brothers out on the tiles on the U.S. in search of his father, and destroy a lot of scum. In general, two seasons already have

Season

Continuation of the first of the season, and the pursuit of the brothers. What happened to them, it's terrible. But they tend to focus on the work that they have not seized the mountain. Aware that the world can change for the worse and the fact that Sam could be the beginning of something terrible. The series moves to a new level. Terrifying secrets are revealed. Catch a lot of things on their shoulders. Seasons in the petition was successful, with a good last series and hint at the continuation.

The third season.

Continued. A year after the events of the second season should happen something terrible. To prevent this, Sam, Sam in particular has much to learn that this did not happen. Despite the fact that the series of 16 episodes, the season is not devoid of meaning. We can say the most juice series. But believe me, continue to be "juicy".

Fourth season.

It starts with the best. Sam, erring younger brother who does not envy. It has survived not being who does not want. Dean - been there, where the enemy will send hard. But on their heads dumped, whether good, or bad events. And what happens if the reunited brothers will do nothing, can destroy the entire world and to make the most terrible evil of hell free. But this is not the worst. The worst - a feud between the brothers. One would hope that would never end, the other will be used. But more will be worse.

I also want to note that the season is dedicated to director Kim Mennersu, who died during the filming of a fourth season.

Fifth Season.

The most stressful, very dramatic and just a new season of the show. The brothers reunited. But this is not the end of the end of their tense relationship. They will tolerate and quarrels. But now, it's not about that. That fell on each of them, the worst thing that happened before this. Selecting complex, is particularly complex one of the brothers. Drama, Mystery, humor, loss - all this is in the series but more especially in this season. Though this season has not yet reached the end, I boldly draw the conclusion - the season was a success.

About the series shortly.

At first, it may appear that the series about such serials, fighters from the Devil's evil. Yes series about wrestlers from evil spirits, but he touched a deep relationship of brothers. Mystery - a key part series, but, as I said, the drama - as an important element in the series.

I said very little about TV series, because without disclosing the plot is not completely avoided. Verdict.

, I admit that the road traversed by the brothers really so far away.

Scary Road Trip!

Posted : 15 years, 8 months ago on 13 September 2008 01:34

Two brothers travel across America to hunt and destroy all manner of evil. The writing is excellent and the visuals make for scary viewing. On a weekly basis I end up having to cover my eyes in anticipation of some ghoul coming from nowhere.

The relationship between the two brothers - sibling rivalry mixed with deep regard for one another, is the anchor of the show. Though at times Jared Padalecki, playing the younger brother, Sam, gets on my nerves. Jensen Ackles as Dean has some of the funniest lines and the fact that his music tastes are stuck firmly in the 80s - cassette tapes anyone, just adds to his charm.

Each brother handles the mantle of responsibility differently but it's clear that they would go to great lengths for one another.

Supernatural is a great blend of scares, humor and drama.

Naturally annoying

Two brothers, Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles respectively), search for their father, who left on a demon-hunting trip and has been missing for a few days. All through the first season, the two brothers kill off demons, face ghosts and hear horrific legends, while on the trail of their father and the demon that killed their mother and Sam's girlfriend Jessica.

While I agree with Jessica's review, I unfortunately found the show very repetitive. How many times can they kill off demons and ghosts and supernatural beings? I know that's what the show is about, but frankly, there was no originality in any episodes after the first lot.

As for the acting: Yes, Jared Padalecki got on my nerves too. But both characters are, to be honest, obnoxious.

Did I just read there is a second season? That's surprising, considering the first season finale - which I just saw on dvd. I certainly didn't expect another season with *that* ending. In any case, I am not desperate to watch the second season.

Don't misunderstand me; this is an enjoyable show - if you can get past the obnoxious characters, and unoriginal scenarios.
